Transmission using optical fiber supports long-distance transmission (up to 30 km) and has the characteristic of being less affected by surrounding noise sources. It allows for wiring in vast areas, long-distance wiring from remote locations, wiring in noisy factory environments, and wiring adjacent to power lines or signal lines that generate noise, all while maintaining signal quality. Additionally, since transmission does not use electricity, it does not introduce noise even when wired near devices that are susceptible to electromagnetic interference. Optical fiber cables can be connected in single-mode or multi-mode, with ST connectors as the terminal. (Various conversion connectors are also available.) The VAD-D008R.L1.x transmits 8 channels of voltage/non-voltage contacts over single-mode fiber up to 30 km and multi-mode fiber up to 3 km. At the transmission destination, it outputs signals via non-voltage contact signals (relay output). Being card-type, it can be housed in a standalone installation case for installation in control panels, or it can be used in combination with multiple card types housed in a 19-inch rack mount chassis. We would like to introduce a case where a "Optical Link for Satellite Ground Stations" was implemented in satellite ground station equipment. Radio waves from space, such as satellite broadcasting (BS, CS), are received by remote antennas on the ground. The received signals are downconverted (frequency converted) and transmitted as IF signals from the antenna to the station (receiver).
